RE-TRACING THE FOOTSTEPS of the DeLaronde Ancestry Project Title: The De Larondes Ancestral Journey- From France to Temagami. Project Summary: Write 8 songs telling the story of our ancestors, the Denis de LaRonde family coming from France aristocracy to Louisbourg, CapeBreton, PEI and Louisiana, Ottawa Valley, Temagami. Artistic Vision: Record and document through stories and songs, the rich cultural, Canadiana history of my paternal family ancestry.....our Acadian identity. I shall walk in the footsteps of my ancestors at Louisbourg, Cape Breton Island, Port LaJoie (Charlottetown), PEI. I intend to get out on the sea to feel the mariner travel and sighting in new shores, new land. I shall experience the homesteads for farming and basic survival. The contemplated TIMEFRAME for the project is the month of August 2023 to spend two weeks on Cape Breton and two weeks on PEI with gigging in New Brunswick/Nova Scotia on the way there and the way back. Total timeframe may take in last week of July and first week in September. The
